With a number of different migration options, KBIT will plan, project manage and migrate your company to Microsoft Office 365 using the best suited migration technique.

KBIT Exchange Online Features

1 IMAP Migration - Suits migration from Google Mail and Non-Microsoft Environments

Use the Internet Message Access Protocol (IMAP) to migrate email when your source email system supports IMAP. The most popular example of this is when the existing mail system is Google Gmail or a similar cloud hosted email service.

2 Cutover Migration - Exchange 2003 and Later (On-Premise)

KBIT use this option to migrate all your on-premises mailboxes to Exchange Online over a few days. All the mailboxes will be migrated in a single batch and user identity will be managed in Office 365 after the cutover migration. A maximum of 2,000 mailboxes can be migrated using this option. If you want to migrate more than 2,000 mailboxes, use the staged or remote migration options.

3 Staged Migration Exchange 2003 & 2007 Only (On-Premise)

KBIT use this option if your organisation plans to migrate all on-premise mailboxes to Exchange Online over a few weeks or months. You can migrate batches of mailboxes until all mailboxes are migrated to the cloud. After migration, user identity will still be managed in your on-premises organisation. You can’t use a staged migration to migrate Exchange 2010 and Exchange 2013 mailboxes.

4 Remote Move / Hybrid Migration - Exchange 2010 and Later (On-Premise)

KBIT use this if you’re planning an Exchange hybrid deployment with mailboxes both on-premises and in Exchange Online. If you plan to migrate all mailboxes to Exchange Online over a long period of time, this migration type lets you use hybrid deployment features during migration. After the migration, user identity will still be managed in your on-premises organization. You have to use this type of migration to migrate more than 2,000 Exchange 2010 or Exchange 2013 mailboxes.
